Chauffeur Service

You'll always travel in total style with Virgin Holidays Cruises. Book now and we'll send a chauffeur-driven car to pick you up from your own front door to take you to the airport, and we'll even drop you off when you get back. You can book this on any of our cruises and the full price is £150 per person for your return journey - just ask our cruise specialists about this service when you call.

Of course, as you are booking with Virgin Holidays Cruises we have included this extra special and exclusive service for FREE if you book an Outside Cabin or above on selected cruises.

You call it a holiday with all the stressful bits taken out. We call it Rockstar Service.

What type of car is it?

Volkswagen Caravelle.

How many seats are there in the vehicle?

6 passengers are allowed.

Will I have to share with another customer?

Although normally a private service, there is a slight possibility that you may share with another Virgin Holidays Cruises party during busy periods.

How much luggage can I take with me?

You will be entitled to the same luggage allowance as you receive with your airline tickets.

What size / weight luggage is this?

We use the same luggage rules as the flight class you’ve been booked into. Our cruise consultants can confirm this for you when you book.

I have children travelling with me, do I have to take my own child seats?

Legally in Hire Vehicles, Car seats and Booster seats are NOT required by law. It’s fine if you do wish to take you own child seats however you will be responsible for the fitting of the seats into the vehicle.

Please note if you are travelling prior to 31st October 2011, you will need to check the car/booster seat onto your flight as part of your luggage allowance (our cruise consultants can advise you of any applicable fees). If you are travelling from 1st November 2011 onwards, we will store the seat for you until the return journey.

Do you offer the service to people in wheelchairs?

Yes - this must be requested at the time of booking and recorded so that we can manage the vehicle load appropriately. We must capture details of any medical condition at time of booking.

What time will I get picked up?

We will advise you of collection times at the point of ticketing which is usually 7-10 days prior to departure.

If the driver is more than ten minutes late, who do I call?

In most cases our chauffeur team will contact you however you can contact them on 01293 450570 if necessary. Make sure we have up to date contact phone numbers for you at time of booking.

What if there is an accident / delay on the road and we miss our flight?

Your driver will advise our Customer Service Team if there's a possibility of missing the flight and take instructions based on best alternative. All vehicles are fitted with Satellite Navigation systems and the drivers are linked to a control centre that advises on alternative routes in the unlikely event that a delay may occur. The chauffeur team we use have a long history of providing fantastic customer service.

Where do I meet the return driver?

Driver will have an A4 laminated strip with Virgin Holidays Cruises and your party’s lead passenger name in the arrivals hall area upon your return.

What do I do if I can't find the driver?

Call the chauffeur team on 01293 450570 for info. We will also provide this number be in your ticketing pack for reference.

Where do you pick up from?

We will collect from any England or Wales address (including IOW) to Heathrow, Gatwick or Manchester. We’ll also collect you from any home address in Scotland & transfer you to a Scottish airport for a domestic flight to meet your Virgin Atlantic or Air Canada connection. Note that there are also some direct Virgin flights from Glasgow to Orlando. This service is also available from any home address in Northern Ireland to either airport in Belfast for a domestic flight to meet your Virgin Atlantic or Air Canada connection.

 

Chauffeur T's & C's

*Chauffeur transfers Subject to availability and change. Service will be included on selected bookings that include return Virgin Atlantic or Air Canada flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester or Glasgow where Virgin Holidays Cruises acts as your tour operator. Offer is based on booking an Outside cabin or above. Chauffeur transfers apply to England and Wales residents. For customers in Scotland not departing on Virgin Atlantic services from Glasgow, the chauffeur transfer will be to your local regional airport to meet an internal flight to Heathrow, Gatwick or Manchester. Any domestic flights booked will incur additional costs. Offer is included for customers living in the Isle of Wight. Offer applies to new bookings made from 11th May '11, and exceptions may apply, please ask at time of booking. There will be one car allocated per booking, each vehicle holds a maximum of 6 passengers and 6 pieces of luggage. Passengers who decide to take child car seats or booster seats are responsible for fitting the seat within the vehicle, and will be liable for any extra baggage charges to take the child seat on board the flight. Excludes special promotions.
