The Hurtigruten fleet
From their Norwegian roots, the ships are purpose- built for the waters they voyage in, weaving close to the shore past magnificent scenery. The ships vary in size and age and all come with their own individual style and character. On board, large comfortable panoramic lounges and complemented by bars and a restaurant serving celebrated cuisine.
Their Explorer fleet comes with Polar Cirkel or Zodiac boats allowing us the freedom to take regular excursions and become acquainted with the regions they visit. They also come accompanied by a team of on board experts, equipped to tell us more about the remarkable waters they sail through and distant lands they reach.

Cuisine
Menus are planned around fresh, seasonal ingredients and take advantage of local produce to satisfy appetites stimulated by the fresh sea air. The restaurant are fully licensed and the set dinner at your reserved table becomes and occasion to exchange the experiences of the day before enjoying coffee in one of the lounges or perhaps something stronger in one of the bars.
Simplicity
Occasionally there may be a local choir or band in one of the lounges for an evening or two but there is no organised entertainment programme to detract from the gentle flow of your voyage.
