Their first cruise ship, the Island Escape, is a whole resort of attractions afloat.
She joined Island Cruises in the Spring of 2002 from her former owners Royal Caribbean Cruises.
When she came across the Atlantic she brought with her the uniquely friendly atmosphere that makes an Island Cruise such a special experience.
Restaurants & Bars
Imagine having three of your favourite restaurants all in one place, as well as six totally different bars serving anything from a refreshing pint to an exotic cocktail. That's what it's like aboard the Island Escape.
All restaurants have kids' menus and the bars prepare special non-alcoholic cocktails (the bars will not sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18).
Any special dietary needs are taken care of via the Restaurant Manager.

Beachcomber Restaurant
If you are after a little alfresco food, the Beachcomber is a very popular venue with indoor and outdoor tables where you can come as you are. With 24 hours service you can sit down to anything from a lunchtime snack to afternoon tea or a midnight supper. In the interest of hygiene, a casual top and appropriate footwear must be worn before approaching the food counter.

Island Restaurant
The Island Restaurant serves a mouth-watering selection of food that looks as good as it tastes. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can start the day with a full buffet breakfast and then later on spoil yourself with dishes including stir-fries, hot main meals, salads and delicious desserts. You can help yourself to the buffet in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You'll be shown to a table on arrival. Please wait to be seated. Casual dress is permitted for dinner, gentleman are requested to wear long trousers in the evening please.

Oasis Restaurant
On those occasions when you want to dress up, they've got just the place for you. In the Oasis Restaurant you'll be waited on hand and foot and thoroughly spoilt with a great selection of wines and beautifully prepared a la carte meals. A children's menu is available on request. The Oasis Restaurant is very popular, so please make sure to reserve your table with the Head Waiter. Typically you can dine for between £8-£15 per person; please see your daily Island Chat for further details. The dress code is smart/casual gentleman are requested to wear long trousers please.

Bounty Lounge
If you are in the mood for a party, head for the Bounty Lounge where there's always something going on at night. From fun game shows to cabarets, interactive quizzes to joining in with dancing through the decades with their resident band.

Café Brasil
For a morning coffee or afternoon tea and cake, this is a relaxing place. There are also Internet stations available here as well as wireless Internet connections that can be used with your own laptop, so keep in touch with those at home whilst enjoying your favourite cup of coffee.

Mirage Bar
Head for the Mirage Bar by the pool when you are in the mood for an exotic fruit cocktail or simply your favourite tipple.

The Lookout (Night Club)
The Lookout is the place where you can chill out during the day or dance the night away until the early hours. During the busiest times of the season, including school holidays the Lookout is for adults only (18s and over) after 11pm.

For a lively atmosphere and a Pint, drop into the Pub.

Sailaway Bar
The panoramic Sailaway Bar provides a new view with each visit.

Sundowner
The Sundowner Lounge is the place for pre-dinner drinks, catching up on the day's event whilst listening to the talented musicians and joining in the sing-alongs into the late evening.

When you simply want to relax all day and look your very best for the evening, the beauty salon, fitness centre, pool and sauna facilities are the answer. Why not browse for the perfect present, a souvenir to remember your cruise by or that special holiday picture…before heading for a flutter in the Casino. The choice is yours!

With a choice of Blackjack, Stud Poker, American Roulette, Casino Hold'em Poker and a variety of slot machines including British Club machines, American Slots, Party Time Bingo and Multi Game. This could be your lucky night! Please let their friendly staff lead you through the choices. Good Luck! Children under the age of 18 years are not allowed in the Casino however there is the Action Zone full of a variety of games and challenges.

Deck Areas
Fitness Centre, Gym
Unwind body and mind in the bright, well-equipped gym with treadmills, exercise bikes, cross trainers and leg curl station, or join their many different classes for beginners and experienced alike. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed to use the gym under any circumstances. The use of weights on a moving ship can be difficult for anyone without experience. Appropriate footwear must be worn when using the exercise equipment.

Island Spa - Salon & Treatments
A cruise is an ideal time to indulge yourself in a multitude of treatments. The on board team are professionally trained to attend to all your needs, and can offer a range of services. Choose from a relaxing aromatherapy massage, manicure and pedicure or detox body wraps, a luxury facial, a revitalising makeover and styling. Pool
The Island Escape has one pool with a section for children.

Sauna
The Saunas are located on Sundeck 10, just inside the Beauty Salon and through the door on the left. There is a nominal weekly fee for using this facility, please see the Island Chat for opening times. Please note that children under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times whilst in the Sauna.

Shops
The on board shops offer a wide range of souvenirs from caps and bags to t-shirts, Logo items, casual clothing, sportswear and perfume, jewellery and watches. There's a kids department and you can pick up any forgotten everyday essentials, travel accessories and favourite treats here as well. Why not pick up your favourite tipple to take home. Ocean Theatre
Throughout your cruise, take your seat for a variety of acts, and fabulous West End shows performed by your resident team of talented singers and dancers. With the vibrant costumes to dazzle you and rhythmic dancing to wow you, you'll want to get in to one of the two performances a night. Combining this with top Guest Acts who are flown in specially from the UK every week to entertain you, the choice is yours!

Pool Deck
With a wide range of activities during the day there's always something going on at the pool deck. Join in the fun: There are pool and team games plus food and cocktail demonstrations to mention but a few. On your first evening join their Sailaway Party to start off your cruise (weather permitting). Join their deck parties around the pool to dance the night away under the stars… plus there's always something to surprise and delight.

Palmy's Kids' Club & Action Zone
Their children's entertainment programme is split into two age groups, so you can rest assured that your children will enjoy a range of fun and games perfect for them and their friends. Please see your daily Island Chat for special events and performances.
Palmy's Kids' Club
They've got two kids' clubs aboard the Island Escape. Palmy's Pals is for children aged 3-6 and Palmy's Crew is for the 7-11-year-olds. One of the highlights of the week is the stage production show complete with professional sound and lights! Throughout the week the kids prepare for this spectacular show and the final performance is an unforgettable experience for children and adults alike. Add in pyjama parties and picnics, face painting and mini-discos for guaranteed fun. Daily activities and timetable are outlined in the Island Chat and Palmy's Weekly.

Breakfast Club
Palmy's Kids' Clubs also organise the Breakfast Club. On selected days during your cruise they'll pick up the children from your cabin and take them to the Island Restaurant for a child-friendly breakfast. So you won't have to get up at kids' time every morning! Ask your Children's Hosts about booking this event.
Action Zone - Arcade
For kids, young and old they have the Action Zone - Arcade with a variety of games such as Ferrari racing, dance mat, football challenges, and the latest touch screen multi games. This is a place where teens can hang out and make friends. There will be a wider range of activities available for the teenagers during the school holidays. Tokens available at the Casino cashier.

Teen Club
