Just returned off of the Celebration having been before was not expecting the glamour of the larger cruise liners but it still lived to our expectations if you are looking for a fun time without the glitz then would recommend this ship which I understand will be Adult only in June. There were only a handful of children on this cruise anyway but in my opinion that will make it even better. If you like a drink then get the drinks package the only (Not so Good)was the bars kept running out of diet coke and tried to parm you off with coke zero while this is only a preference it made you have to ask again and waste a drink which they got a bit touchy about but soon resolved they also try to sneak the odd local brand drink in so continually had to specifically to make sure it was Bacardi and not Ron Blanca. Flights and transfer all OK and smooth although Marmaris is 1.5 hrs from Dalaman but it's not to bad. We had a suite on our first cruise with Thomson but as not available opted for deluxe outside which was slightly smaller but ideal for us Some dirty ports in Egypt but that's not their fault so if your not going to the Pyramids stay on the boat! Overall hats off to Thomson we had a great time we travelled with Cunard In April on the Queen Victoria I would rate the service atmosphere and entertainment far better on the Thomson Celebration

The main reason we chose this cruise was the itinerary and also it was a repositioning cruise lasting 11 days. We sailed from Sharm on the Thursday night and spent our first day in Port Sokhna for those wanting a visit to Cairo. The following day was spent sailing north through the Suez Canal, we were ship number 2 in a convoy of 25 and the scenery encountered was exciting & varied as we headed off to Alexandria where we spent Sunday morning before setting sail for Ashdod in Israel where we spent 2 days.Nothing much in Ashdod so an excursion recommended. Don't miss out on the duty free shop in Ashdod port (prices can't be beaten). Wednesday spend exploring Larnaca then off to Alanya in Turkey (great place for buying your "designer" gear. Next day in Fethiye one of the most scenic places I have visited in Turkey. Ag Nik in Crete was next then our last day in Rhodes before heading for our disembarkation port in Marmaris. We have cruised 4 times now on the Celebration and on previous cruises have had a de-luxe cabin but due to our late booking we had an outside cabin on deck 1 which was comfortable enough but a little noisy when docking etc.You also have the waves lapping against your port hole but you get used to this and it sends you to sleep at night. Overall a great cruise and would recommend a repostioning cruise for greater variety.

The Celebration is having a makeover and has new carpets in many of the public areas. Some of the cabins on the lower decks were also being refurbished with double beds being installed and the old TVs were in the corridors. We were on deck 4 and there was occasionally a slight smell of thixofix which didn't bother us in the slightest. We took all our meals in the Lido as the informality suits us best, and a lovely waiter called Benny looked after us really well, he watched out for us and put iced water on our table, carried our tray, and served us coffee as soon as we wanted it. Our cabin steward, Yussuf, was also great, although we could do without having our beds turned down in the evenings. It does make you reluctant to go back to your cabin until he has been. Although the bathroom is slightly Dated it was always immaculately clean and we had no complaints about it at all. We felt that a chair that tucked under the desk in order to give more space would be good. Otherwise the cabin was excellent. All in all the we couldn't fault the ship in any way and we visited Jerusalem (our main reason for choosing this cruise) and the Dead Sea, we traversed the Suez Canal, a fantastic experience, and we also visited El Alamein, Cyprus; Alanya, Fethiye and Marmaris in Turkey; and Crete and Rhodes. All in all a fabulous cruise just like Red Sea Magic on the Spirit last year, and we can't wait to go on another Thomson cruise.

We have just arrived back from doing the red sea magic cruise on board the Thomson celebration ship and we had a fantastic time. we could not fault a single thing. All of the crew bar staff and the restaurant staff were so helpful and friendly and could not do enough for you. They would not even let us make a cup of tea without coming over and doing it for us. The ship itself is meticulously clean, and the staff are always around cleaning something. We even saw them with toothpicks cleaning the backs of chairs in the restaurants they were that good. All of the entertainment is of an outstanding quality and there is always that much happening in all of the different bars that you never know which one to go too. The drinks prices are very reasonable and water is free if you ask for tap water which we did. While we were on the ship they were currently painting and cleaning her up which was good to see. They are also in the process of refurbishing all of the rooms which are lovely as we were in one of the refurbished cabins. Everything is done to a high standard. The food that we received in all of the restaurants were of an outstanding quality and there was that much available we just ate all the time. Our cabin was always clean and tidy and our cabin steward was really friendly and always made sure that we were OK. The ports that you dock at are not the best they are just used for industry so can be noisy but you do get used to it and it did not spoil it for us. The weather we had was lovely and warm but you have to be very careful when you are at sea as it can be windy and we did get burnt on the first day because we did not use enough suncream. There is a large selection of shore excursions that you can do some of which are more value for money than others. They are very laid back with the dress style on a evening but if you want to dress up you wont look out of place. All in all we had a fantastic trip and we cant wait to do another of the Thomson cruises.

Arrived on board March 8Th 2012, as it was my birthday treat so we upgraded to big cabins on deck 6,underneath the bridge and paid for the all inc drinks package. We got our money back on the first day (??49 for drinks package ). Hemingway's bar/waiter staff very attentive. We ate in the Lido restaurant for breakfast, lunch and in the Horizons for evenings. Our waiters Dennis and Frank nothing too much trouble and are a treasure and credit to the ship. Food on board was excellent. ENTERTAINMENT STAFF were out of this world only missed the first night show, the shows were fabulous. Can't single anyone out but the girl from FLINT, N Wales was very very good. Ships decor was very good and always clean. Cabin was excellent and cabin boy must have been in the wardrobe as every time we left the cabin the beds were made and clothes put away. From the Captain on down, the crew and staff were excellent and obviously very happy to serve on such a well run and happy ship.
